Tips to Layout Halloween Food with Cake Stands and Cheese Boards

Besides candy and baked goodies, Halloween food like pumpkin ice cream is a wonderful seasonal treat. Here are some tips to lay out a delicious and attractive spread.

Food and Drinks
Choose Halloween food that will please both the kids and the grownups at the party. Seasonal delights like pumpkin can be cooked in different ways and made into wonderful Halloween food like ice cream. Include savory treats like pumpkin soup and green bean salad for a well-balanced menu. Cherry-flavored soda and orange juice, with their vivid colors, are perfect choices for refreshing autumnal drinks. Serve them from glass drink dispensers to make the spread visually appealing.

Everyday food like rice or pasta can be transformed into Halloween food with the help of food colors. There are natural food colors available which are made from plant and vegetable extracts so you can make themed food which is natural and safe. Choose these natural dyes to serve a colorful spread at your fall party, especially with kids present. Bake cupcakes and cookies at home and decorate them with special Halloween-themed candy. Black and orange jelly beans are delightful toppings for cakes and pies to be served at the Halloween party.

Display
The table display at the Halloween party needs to be just as attractive as the food. Serve the Halloween goodies in an appealing way to enhance your guests’ dining experience. Serveware like cake stands, dessert trays and cheese boards are good choices to display your spread. Mix and match your everyday pieces of serveware like cheese boards and platters with themed serving plates. Use pitchers, tiered trays and beverage dispensers to add height to the spread.

If you have a color scheme for the party, you can include these colors into the spread. Black and orange is a popular palette for Halloween parties so these colors can be added to the buffet table with the help of tablecloths and decorative swags for the buffet table. Choose cocktail napkins in the color scheme of the party to subtly infuse themed colors into the party setting.

Host a fun and stylish Halloween party with these entertaining tips.
